Whether you're an employer or individual, we offer all three disclosure levels (Basic, Standard & Enhanced) via our online application process. There are no paper forms to complete, just a simple and affordable three step process to follow at one cost effective price.

Documents

The majority of applications can be completed using a valid Passport, Driving License or Birth Certificate to verify your identity. A list of identity documents that are accepted can be found here.

Who?

You might be surprised to know that DBS Checks are not just for Schools, Hospitals & Childcare. Many professions such as Solicitors, Veterinary Surgeons, Traffic Wardens, Accountants and even some volunteer work require a DBS check.

Basic DBS Check

The check will only show convictions that are not ‘spent’, for example some types of caution will disappear after 3 months.

You must be 16 or over to apply. Spent convictions refer to fines or sentences of less than 4 years imprisonment, whereby a specific amount of time has elapsed since the sentencing.

Standard DBS Check

A search of the Police National Computer (PNC) for any Cautions, Convictions, Reprimands and warnings (now replaced by youth cautions) and/or Previously stepped-down cautions or convictions.

For each recorded offence, the report discloses the conviction or caution date, name of the court, nature of the offence, date of the offence, and the details of the sentence imposed.

Enhanced DBS Check

Provides all the same searches as Standard DBS on the Police National Computer as well as search of Police intelligence reports and Inclusion on the Children’s and/or Barring List (if specified on the application).

For each recorded offence, the report discloses the conviction or caution date, name of the court, nature of the offence, date of the offence, and the details of the sentence imposed.

All checks are processed by Safe Computing Ltd, which is recognised by the Disclosure and Barring Service as a Responsible Organistation (A Responsible Organisation (RO) is an organisation registered with the DBS to submit basic checks through a web service.)
